All that cleaning wasn t for nothing. In these cases painting is usually your best option. Cleaning won t do you much good if your siding is really faded. If you re going to repaint you need to make sure you completely remove grime dust pollen bird droppings and tree sap before you begin.

Give your aluminum siding a good rinse with the hose first. Make sure to protect your eyes the rest of you hair etc so the bleach will not harm you. Add one part bleach to 3 parts water. Avoid denting aluminum siding.

If mold or mildew is the culprit spraying with a bleach solution will remove it. To clean aluminum siding having mildew use a solution of one part bleach and four parts water. By mimicking rain flow you know you re not damaging your house while you clean it. Spray this mixture on remaining spots.

Remove mildew or mold by adding bleach to the wash water or spraying a solution of bleach and water onto your siding with a garden sprayer. The original contractor used high pressure on the surface and marred it all up. Be careful as bleach will hurt your plants. Spraying at a downward angle prevents water from getting under the aluminum siding and causing problems underneath.
