Mix a gallon of water with two ounces of detergent and use the brush to scrub the awning with it.
Mix 1 cup of bleach with 10 cups of water.
If the dirt layer is heavier than a moderate dosage clean your aluminum awning with mild detergent dish soap or another typical household cleaner mixed with water.
Once you ve done that saturate a stiff scrub brush in the cleaning solution.

Pour some of the mixture into a spray bottle and the remaining should be put into a bucket.
Step 4 spray the area with the bleach mixture and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 2 wet one awning with a hose.
It is important to note that you should start from the bottom as this will prevent streaks from the chemicals running down the awning.
First you will need to wet the awning with a spray bottle or garden hose.
You can also use a vinyl or fabric cleaner if you wish.

For fixed awnings rollup awnings and retractable awnings made of canvas or outdoor fabrics use a mild laundry detergent and lukewarm water.

Apply an oil based primer many people get a latex primer because it dries faster.
Next submerge a brush in the cleaning solution and then scrub the awning.
After rinsing use a pressure washer detergent cleaners and depending on the amount of dirt and buildup you may need to use a gentle scrubber attachment.
Fabric awnings are much more delicate and need to be treated with more care.
